Shaolin Nam Pai Chuan Kung Fu

Students of Nam Pai Chuan learn numerous techniques, including traditional stances and footwork, evasive movement, various hand and leg techniques including blocking, punching, kicking and sweeping techniques, locking (Chin Na), throwing and nerve-point strikes (Dim Mak).


Students also learn paired applications and sequences to develop an understanding of distance, control, accuracy and movement. When competent at these techniques students will then learn how to spar (paired fighting) to develop and demonstrate an understanding of free movement, evasion, counter-striking, focus and spirit.

Classes

Wednesdays: 6.30-8pm and Fridays: 7-8.30pm, 1st Floor, Social and Amenities Building
